La. Nave Jewelry was born out of a rich Italian heritage coupled with the co-owners love of jewelry and the desire to bring both classic and unique pieces to market at an affordable price.

Our name “La Nave” is an Italian word translated in English as “the vessel”, inspired by our family history. The Martelli family originated in Rio Marina, a municipality on the island of Elba just off the coast of Italy. The family business was maritime transport and involved the shipping of goods to the United States from Europe. Angelo Martelli (Dena’s grandfather) came to the United States on board one of the family’s ships in the early 1900’s, fell in love with a local girl and married her making their home in Galveston, Texas. Angelo was the only brother of six that immigrated to the United States.
